SwipeSpace cleans your camera roll entirely on your phone. There's no account, and your photos are never uploaded — here's exactly what that means.
PLAYRIOT LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the SwipeSpace mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
The short version: your photos and videos never leave your phone. Scanning, duplicate/blur detection, and deletion all happen on-device using Apple's own PhotoKit and Vision frameworks. There's no account, no login, and no backend server that stores or sees your photo library. Your photos never leave your device. The only personal content that can leave it is an optional message you choose to send us through the in-app feedback form.
SwipeSpace is a photo-cleaner app. You swipe through your camera roll to keep or delete photos, and SwipeSpace surfaces likely clutter first — screenshots, large videos, blurry shots, and near-duplicate photos — using on-device detection.
Your photo library: none of it is collected by us. SwipeSpace uses Apple's PhotoKit framework to read your photo library's metadata (file size, media type, creation date) and Apple's Vision framework to compute on-device similarity/blur signals, entirely within the app sandbox on your device. None of this ever transmits to any server we operate — there isn't one to send it to.
Deletions. When you confirm a cleanup, SwipeSpace asks iOS to delete the selected photos via the standard system confirmation. Deleted items go to your device's Recently Deleted album for 30 days, exactly as if you'd deleted them from the Photos app yourself — this is Apple's mechanism, not ours.
Locally stored app data. A small amount of data is stored only on your device (and, for the home-screen widget, shared privately between the app and widget via an iOS App Group): your lifetime GB-freed count, and the list of photos you've chosen to keep so they don't resurface in future scans. This never leaves your device.
Subscription status. If you subscribe to SwipeSpace Pro, Apple's StoreKit handles the purchase and billing entirely; we only check whether your entitlement is active. Apple, not us, processes and stores your payment details.
Optional feedback. If you choose to submit a bug report, idea, or note of appreciation through the in-app feedback form, that message is sent to our developer feedback service, along with an anonymous identifier (a random ID stored on your device, not linked to your name, email or Apple ID; it can persist if you reinstall the app) and, only if you type one in, an email address (so we can follow up). That is the only path by which anything you write reaches us. Separately, the app checks in with our feedback service when it starts and when you bring it back to the front, to see whether we have replied to feedback you sent and to load the “More from PLAYRIOT” list in Settings. Those check-ins carry an anonymous identifier (a random ID stored on your device, not linked to your name, email or Apple ID; it can persist if you reinstall the app) and your app version only — never your photos or anything about them.
Apple PhotoKit & Vision. On-device frameworks for reading your photo library and computing similarity/blur signals. Apple's own privacy terms govern how iOS handles this on your device; we never receive this data.
Apple StoreKit. Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple.
PLAYRIOT Feedback service. Powers the optional in-app feedback form described above. Hosted by us (PLAYRIOT LLC) on infrastructure in the United States.
Photos — SwipeSpace asks for full access to your photo library so it can scan, bucket, and delete photos you choose. This is the app's core function. Access is revocable any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos, though SwipeSpace can't scan or clean without it.
Because there's no account and no server-side photo data, there's nothing on our end to delete when you stop using the app — simply deleting SwipeSpace from your device removes all locally stored app data (your GB-freed count, kept-photos list) along with it. If you've submitted feedback with an email address, you can ask us to delete that record any time at [email protected].
We do not sell or rent any data. The only information that ever reaches us is what you actively submit through the optional feedback form, and we never share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.
SwipeSpace is a general-audience utility app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR and equivalent laws over any data you've submitted to us (e.g. via feedback) — access, rectification, erasure, and objection to processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If this policy materially changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
